**About the role**
The Elective Surgery Reform Program is a Department of Health initiative to improve access to and outcomes of elective surgery in Victoria.
The Same Day Surgical Model of Care Lead will take on all project requirements to increase surgical throughput by piloting, implementing and spreading new same day models of surgery. This is an exciting opportunity to develop, pilot and upscale same day surgery to provide substitution of inpatient services throughout the Grampians region.
You will work with key healthcare organisations across the Grampians region to drive implementation development and spreading new same day models of surgery initiatives in line with the elective surgery project plan. They will drive design and delivery to implement new surgical models of care and engage with relevant health services to support and promote Same day surgical models of care.
**Key Responsibilities**
You will have the support of the Delivery and Innovation team to enable data analytics, sharing of best evidence and practice, engaging with primary care and other health system partners and shared models of care to coordinate improvement efforts across the care continuum. The role includes assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of pathways in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery and implementation of the same day surgery models of care partnering with surgical teams to collaborate and share knowledge.
