Community Development Specialist
This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the prevention, reduction and response to family violence in Aboriginal communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Enhance local Aboriginal communities by assisting in developing strategies to address family violence issues.
* Support the implementation of these strategies and plans ensuring they are delivered within timeline and resource parameters.
* Provide support to community meetings, including coordination and preparation of agendas and minutes.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with community members.
They will also have a strong understanding of family violence issues affecting Aboriginal communities and be able to develop and implement effective solutions.
Key qualifications include a degree in a relevant field and experience working with Aboriginal communities.
Other requirements include the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage competing priorities.
The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive induction program which includes training on cultural awareness and community engagement.
Additionally, they will receive regular coaching and mentoring from experienced professionals.
