Primary School Teacher Aide Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary School Teacher Aide to join our Learning Support Team.
* The successful applicant will provide targeted support to primary-aged students individually or in small groups.
* To engage students in learning, the ideal candidate will use various communication strategies including visual supports, AUSLAN, AAC, or tactile cues.
* The role involves assisting in preparing, modifying, and organising learning materials.
* Accurate record-keeping is also an essential aspect of this position, requiring the ability to document observations, progress notes, and data to inform personalised learning plans.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A minimum Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent) to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
* Experience working with students who have extensive learning or developmental needs would be highly regarded.
* AUSLAN skills or experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students is considered advantageous.
