Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Coastal Metro Hospital
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced specialist to join the Mental Health team at a leading public hospital located in the vibrant bayside region of Melbourne.
This is a rare opportunity to work with a major metropolitan hospital that serves a diverse and growing population, including some of the most at-risk youth in the state. You'll be part of a well-established child and youth mental health service delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in both inpatient and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide psychiatric assessment, treatment, and management for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
* Collaborate with a team of psychologists, social workers, nurses, and paediatricians in a truly integrated model of care
* Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees
* Engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives
* Participate in on-call roster and clinical governance activities as required
Who We're Looking For:
* Fellowship of the RANZCP, with accredited subspecialty training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
* Current (or eligibility for) specialist registration with AHPRA
* Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable young people and families
* Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
