Description

Due to increased community demand, our Maitland service is expanding our licensed capacity and we're looking for passionate Early Childhood Educators and an Early Childhood Teacher to join us in our new space. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, with the chance to contribute to the next stage of our service and support more local children and families. St Nicholas Early Education supports and partners with families to nurture and inspire children as they develop the skills to flourish at home, in care and in communities. We are currently seeking Early Childhood Educators (Certifocate III & Diploma) and an Early Childhood Teacher to join our well‐established service at Maitland on a Permanent Full‐Time basis. You will have the ability to evolve in your role and progress within the organisation through a variety of learning and development pathways.

Skills and Experiences

* Knowledge of the stages of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and cultural development of children.
* The capability to engage children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups / stages of development.
* The ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff.
* Experience in / or interest in additional needs / challenging behaviours.
* A commitment to your own ongoing professional development in early childhood.
* The ability to undertake the physical requirements involved within an early childhood setting.
* Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting and Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices.

Qualifications

* An approved Diploma level qualification for the purposes of the education and care services, national law and regulations.
* Child protection qualification.
* Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training.
* Working with Children Check verification number.
