International Student Coordinator Role Overview
The International Students Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting Westminster's international student cohort. This position involves coordinating the provision of support to international students, particularly issues relating to new international student enrolments until they are settled within the School's standard pastoral and academic support processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist senior leaders to develop and implement strategies, policies, and processes in relation to international student programmes.
• Manage compliance requirements for international student enrolments, including attending to post-enrolment support, maintaining record-keeping systems, and monitoring relevant government requirements.
• Support new international student enrolments, including acting as a liaison for international student incoming and outgoing parent contact, ensuring prospective students have appropriate levels of English language competency prior to enrolment, and providing induction and mentoring support to new international students.
Requirements
Some out-of-hours work and work during term breaks is expected due to the demands of the role. The ability to travel internationally is also an expectation.
Working Relationships
The International Students Coordinator reports to the Head of Senior School and works closely with other senior staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to international student support, welfare, and learning.
