We are recruiting for Sales Operations Manager based in Melbourne, Australia.

The selected candidate will manage a sales operations hub team to provide timely and effective administrative, process and policy support related to Sales Support, Groups Sales, Sales System and Sales Administration for the commercial teams in the assigned territories.

Accountabilities:

* Support the Head of Sales Operations with strong regional experience and knowledge of local market context in assigned territories, to drive the co-location and/ or central integration of dispersed sales/ support activities including (but not limited to) Reservations and Ticketing, Sales Support and Administration.
* Monitor customers' 'pain-points' and propose strategies and tactics that drive cost-effective and sustainable resolution.
* Identification, evaluation and enhancement of existing and new sales processes with the aim of delivering value to all internal and external stakeholders.
* In collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders (Region and Head Office), evaluate and enhance existing and new commercial/ sales policies and processes to ensure they are customer-centric, efficient, globally consistent and deliver value to all stakeholders.
* Manage a database of all relevant policies/ processes to centralize and improve team accessibility. In collaboration with internal stakeholders, develop and distribute relevant reporting to drive transparency of policy and process compliance. Ensure that the team documents, updates and communicates all sales policies and processes using stakeholder input and available manuals to ensure internal awareness and compliance. In the event of policy/ process non-compliance, establish causes and develop/ manage remedial plans.
* In cooperation with sales teams, develop and maintain a database of key customer profiles to assist with a better segmentation and better targeted business. Ensures accuracy and currency of the key customer profiles by using internal and external sources and contributes to the overall improvement of the database in cooperation with other global sales teams.
* Lead a Direct Sales, Service Agent and Support Agent team to be supplementary contact to provide regional customer support. Lead the team to handle customer requirements/ requests professionally on a daily basis and assist staff and customers to resolve difficult issues/ problems pertaining to direct Sales and Servicing on a daily basis. Manage the team to handle Group activities for the region – quotation/ booking/ change/ ticketing/ invoicing/ follow up of offers.
* Establish the department or team objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
* Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with minimum 6 years of job-related experience
* Experience working in large, complex organisations
* Previous experience in sales operations or sales support
* Project management experience would be an advantage
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
* Proven relationship management skills that demonstrate ability to balance and manage diverse stakeholder interest
* Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
