The Opportunity
Legal Services has a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced office manager to join our team and to establish our presence in the Southeast.
The Office Manager - Mount Gambier will support and advise the Lawyer in Charge - Mount Gambier to ensure the effective administration of the Mount Gambier Office.
The Office Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the efficient operation of support services for the Mount Gambier Office. This will include managing and distributing workloads, rostering staff, maintaining all Court diaries and inboxes and coordinating secretarial support for all Mount Gambier Lawyers (Criminal, Family, Civil and Legal Information and Advice lawyers).
The Office Manager will assist the Lawyer in Charge - Mount Gambier with the establishment of a physical presence in Mount Gambier.

Salary Range
$76,561-$80,256 per annum pro rata plus a 15% regional allowance and 12% superannuation.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Legal Services is able to offer its employees attractive salary sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre-tax each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year for general living expenses.

Term of Employment
Ongoing contract available at ASO4 classification level.
What You Need for Success
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, evolving environment. As the office is newly established, we're building together, which means adaptability, initiative, and a willingness to learn are key. The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, contributing to foundational operations, and working closely with colleagues to shape the way forward. While there aren't years of embedded local Legal Services' experience in the Southeast, there is strong support from the Adelaide Office, and the ability to tap into those networks and expertise.
The ideal candidate will:
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, foster sound working relationships with a range of staff and stakeholders and prepare clear and succinct correspondence.
* Experience in supervising, managing, mentoring and providing guidance to staff and developing their skills, confidence and competence.
* Experience in providing professional and timely legal administrative support services in a demanding environment including dealing with challenging clients in a culturally appropriate manner.
* Experience in providing a range of administrative support services including preparing correspondence, coordinating and maintaining appointment diaries.
* Experience in collecting and maintaining data, records and preparing reports and other information that supports the management of work completed by other staff and the delivery of services.
