The Role
Imagine the excitement and ability to show off your incredible skills in a deployed environment (overseas) for six months supervising a retail store for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and partner nations from across the world As a deployed Retail Supervisor, you are not just providing retail services, but enhancing the morale and welfare of all the troops deployed.
The Retail Supervisor is part of an enthusiastic team of adventurous individuals who enjoy meaningful employment and contributing in a team‑based environment. You will lead and manage the retail team and operations to great success, enforcing health, hygiene, safety and security standards and programs. Responsibilities include preparing regular cash audits, periodic reconciliation of deposits, authorizing refunds, voids and returns, holding keys, safe combinations and access codes, ensuring distribution of merchandise to outlets, maintaining adequate stock levels, conducting effective monthly inventory, managing contracts, and implementing loss‑prevention controls.
Additionally, the Retail Supervisor enhances morale by assisting with recreational activities and events, ensuring soldiers are mentally and physically ready to sustain the difficulties of military operations and lead healthy balanced lives.
Qualifications Needed
* Canadian citizenship
* Valid Canadian passport
* Valid Canadian driver's license (Class G or Class 5)
* Experience in personnel administration
* Experience in cash handling
* Experience in serving menu items
* Experience in organizing functions
* Understanding of retail store operations, financial statements, inventory management and supply chain
Education: Acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
