Senior Financial Strategist
Job Summary:
* The role of Senior Financial Strategist is a pivotal position within an organization, responsible for overseeing and directing financial operations to support strategic goals and ensure fiscal health.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
* Lead and develop a finance team of senior accountants, ensuring they are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization.
* Drive strategic planning initiatives that support financial and operational growth, contributing to the overall success of the business.
Business Partnering
* Collaborate with senior leaders to optimize profitability of operations.
* Responsible for managing budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting, annual financial statements, and working closely with business leaders.
* Monitor and manage working capital for operations, implementing strategies to optimize cash flow and ensure financial stability.
* Identify opportunities for working capital improvements and drive initiatives to achieve targeted outcomes.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to operations, financial, and operational performance, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
* Lead the implementation of corrective actions when performance metrics fall short of targets.
* Oversee ongoing management of SOX controls within financial operations, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Ensure continuous improvement of internal control processes, identifying and mitigating risks that could impact financial reporting and operational effectiveness.
Financial Planning & Analysis
* Lead financial planning and analysis for the organization, including preparation of monthly management reports, and analysis of revenue, earnings, and cash performance.
* Oversee all operational and financial reporting, working closely with the business to identify needs and develop automated dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
* Drive operational efficiency and best practices within the finance organization by participating in system enhancement initiatives that streamline workflows related to financial planning and analysis.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in finance, with focus on FP&A, business partnering, and strategic analysis.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and manage financial operations within complex, multi-national environments.
* Knowledge of MRO operations with strong understanding of the aviation industry.
* Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and the use of analytic tools like Power BI or SAC.
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
* Tertiary degree in accounting, finance or related field with 10 years' experience.
* Qualified CA or CPA.
* Experience with US GAAP and IFRS, as well as SOX controls environment.
