1. Southern Adelaide Local Health Network - Flinders Medical Centre - Critical Care
2. Indicative Total Remuneration: $357,576 - $606,616 (pro rata) MDO2 | Full Time, Until June 2024
As the Critical Care Specialist, you will take part in inpatient and outpatient care, quality assurance, teaching and research in Critical Care Medicine in southern Adelaide in particular at Flinders Medical Centre. You will also use your knowledge and experience in the teaching, research and quality assurance activities conducted within the Division.
The services provided by the Department of Critical Care Medicine include:
3. Acute in-patient care - 32 bed Critical Care Unit at FMC
4. Medical Emergency Team (MET) coordination
5. Central Venous Access
6. Total Parenteral Nutrition - both within FMC and “at home”
7. Ventilatory Support - invasive and non-invasive
To be successful in this role, you will have:
8. a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent with an appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
9. Experience to include clinical work in the specialty, teaching, and research
10. the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team in a multi-disciplinary setting.
11. Experience managing post-cardiac surgical patients relevant to Critical Care
