Key Responsibilities
* Define and own the end‐to‐end test strategy covering all phases — Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance Testing and Post Verification Testing
* Establish the test management framework and tooling for the programme
* Define UAT scope in collaboration with the BA team, focused on areas where business processes are genuinely changing as a result of the upgrade
* Manage test entry and exit criteria across all phases including the Executive Go/No‐Go gate
* Produce test status reporting for Steering Committee and senior stakeholders
* Oversee System Integration Testing across all integration points, ensuring all third‐party vendors confirm compatibility before SIT commences
* Manage the Dress Rehearsal cycles and ensure defect resolution is tracked and closed before production cutover
* Manage defect triage, resolution tracking and escalation across the System Integrator, OpenText.
* Oversee User Acceptance Testing execution by business users across Finance and Procurement
* Act as the primary point of contact for all testing matters across, the System Integrator, SAP ECS and OpenText
* Ensure the System Integrator delivers against their testing obligations under the fixed‐price SOW
* Ensure OpenText testing activities are integrated into the master test plan and aligned to the go‐live date
* Brief executive sponsors and the Steering Committee on test progress, risks and go/no‐go readiness
Business Coordination
* Work with business stakeholders to define and scope UAT test scripts focused on areas where processes are genuinely changing as a result of the upgrade
* Coordinate business testers across Finance and Procurement, securing availability commitments and managing the UAT resource calendar
* Provide guidance to the business on test script format, coverage and execution approach
* Work with the Change Manager to ensure business readiness and training aligns to the testing schedule
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Test Manager on large‐scale SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades
* Experience managing end‐to‐end testing across complex, multi‐vendor programmes with fixed delivery dates
* Strong knowledge of SAP testing methodology including SIT, UAT, regression, performance and cutover testing
* Experience with enterprise test management platforms
* Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate business tester communities across Finance and Procurement functions
* Experience working in fixed‐price, milestone‐based delivery models
* Strong stakeholder management — able to brief executives, manage vendor relationships and coordinate across multiple workstreams
Highly Desirable
* Experience with SAP RISE or Private Cloud Edition migrations
* Knowledge of Brownfield migrate and upgrade programmes — compatibility pack changes, Fiori app remediation
* Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology
* Experience with integration testing across enterprise applications such as Ariba, Concur and SuccessFactors
* Previous experience in the energy sector or a similarly complex regulated environment
ISTQB certification or equivalent.
