Procurement Specialist
This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting procurement activity within a government environment. The Procurement Specialist will provide leadership and advice on key government policies, audits, and compliance with procurement procedures.
About the Role
* Lead strategic procurement processes and develop contracts and policies.
* Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct sourcing activities and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
2. Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
3. Support Agriculture Victoria staff with procurement queries and connect them to the appropriate team.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in procurement, knowledge of government related contracts and policies.
* Extensive background knowledge in procurement processes and contract management.
