About the role Mater Research are looking for a Research Assistant to join the Biobank team! This fixed term, full-time role will be based at our South Brisbane campus. Mater Research is a recognised leader in medical research. Our bench to bedside philosophy sees us working across Mater Health’s hospitals and health services, The University of Queensland, and the world-class Translational Research Institute (TRI). We are committed to working closely with Mater Health, Mater Education and our growing network of partners and collaborators to turn scientific discovery into the best possible treatment, care, and outcomes for patients and our broader community. Salary range: $42.71 - $46.03 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits! What you’ll be doing As a Clinical Trial Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with administrative research requirements as appropriate including clinical data collection. The Mater Research Biobank provides researchers with high quality biospecimens and data to improve the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of medical conditions. About you To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Completion of an undergraduate degree in relevant discipline and /or relevant experience Strong organisational and interpersonal skills Awareness of the Australian Clinical trial regulatory framework and applicable guidelines such as ICH GCP as adopted by the TGA and NHRMC guidelines for clinical trials The ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent oral and written communication skills with competent working knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs including excel, word, teams, and outlook. Digital literacy skills with familiarity with standard work processing programs and familiarity with how to effectively use and search databases and record systems Why join us?
