We are launching a new charter business in Brisbane and are seeking an experienced Skipper/Engineer to join our team.

Qualifications and/or Experience
- MED 1 (Old Name) and/or the AMSA equivalent current Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 Near Coastal (MED 1 NC)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Certificate of Medial Fitness (standard 2 years)
- Experience as a Master on a commercial vessel, including experience in vessel operations and maintenance
- Strong Leadership and communication skills
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
- In-depth understanding of local waterways and local coastal areas.
- Professional, reliable, and customer focused.
Key responsibilities
- Command and operate vessel up to 24 meters in accordance with AMSA regulations
- Skilled in the protected navigation of the Brisbane River, coastal waters, crew supervision and passenger safely.
- Effective communication with port authorities, the owner and/or any other authorities.
- Ensure compliance with safety management and/or emergency procedures
- Maintain logs, records, vessel conditions to commercia survey standards relating to compliance with legal and safety standards required for commercial vessels
