Orange Electrical Works, Solahart Central Tablelands are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Solar Energy Consultant to join our team and help guide businesses and homeowners towards financial relief and energy security through smarter energy solutions.
As a Solar Energy Consultant, you will provide expert advice, drive sales, and play a key role in promoting solar energy adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and analyse client needs for smart hot water solutions, solar power, battery storage and energy security systems, providing tailored solutions that best fit their individual needs.
* Conduct consultations, site assessments and energy audits to evaluate energy usage and potential for solar installations.
* Use software to design solar energy systems (including panels, batteries, and other components) based on client needs and budget.
* Prepare and present proposals, including system specifications, cost estimates, and energy savings calculations.
* Guide clients through the entire process, from initial consultation to final installation and ongoing support.
* Stay current on the latest solar technologies, incentives, and industry trends to provide clients with up-to-date advice.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Engage with new leads from our marketing channels, plus drive your own sales opportunities through referral strategies and database analytics
* Collaborate with internal teams, including operations managers and installers, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Conduct business development activities to further expand our network of ongoing business relationships.

Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a solutions-focused sales role - solar energy, energy consulting, or a related field is preferred but not required
* Willingness to gain understanding of solar energy systems, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand & explain technical concepts in simple terms
* Sales-oriented with a customer-focused problem solver's mindset
* Ability to assess customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly
* Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other related tools
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently with accountability
* Passion for renewable energy and helping people
