Are you passionate about creating and maintaining outdoor spaces? Join our Parks Operations team and play a hands-on role in enhancing the presentation of our city’s parks, gardens and public spaces.
As a Gardener, you will contribute to the upkeep and improvement of our open spaces, helping deliver high-quality environments for the community to enjoy.
* Two (2) permanent positions available;
* Remuneration of $2,180.38 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,616.46 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%);

Your new role:
In this role, you will work across a variety of locations including parks, reserves, sportsgrounds and streetscapes. Your responsibilities will include:
* Garden and lawn establishment and maintenance
* Planting, pruning, mowing and tree maintenance
* Irrigation, weed and pest control, and chemical application
* Rehabilitation works and soil management
* Operating and maintaining tools, plant and equipment
* Supporting site safety, traffic management and general upkeep
* Completing relevant documentation and safety records
This is a physically active role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a collaborative team environment.
What you will need to succeed:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Class C Driver’s Licence
* White Card (General Construction Induction)
* Experience in gardening or horticulture (Certificate II in Horticulture desirable)
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Strong time management and communication skills
* A commitment to safety, quality work and customer service
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, the successful applicant is required to be vaccinated for Hepatitis B and will be asked to provide evidence of this.
