A Leading & Innovative family-owned & Managed Concrete Construction Company seeks a Contracts Manager/Estimator to commence employment sometime between mid-January and early February 2026. This is a full-time salaried position.

Location: Near Logan, South of Brisbane.

* This is an autonomous role, with good support, reporting directly to the managing director, and liaising with the construction manager.

Responsibilities will include (not limited to):

* Selecting tenders from portholes and those received by post.
* Interpret all construction plans and scope, measure utilising measurement software.
* Prepare detailed quotations by requested timeframe from builders.
* Liaise with builders to conform to the scope of work.
* Negotiate with the builder.
* Liaise with management to confirm timelines of current and projected workloads.
* Attend pre-contract award meetings to finalise SOW and pricing.
* Prepare monthly invoice valuations to be submitted to builders.
* Detailed breakdowns for works completed.
* Manage supplier relationships – an ability to resolve any associated issue/problems.
* Monitor project costs, outputs, and schedules, to identify overruns.
* Maintain SWMS and SDS register.
* Maintain & enhance relationships with key builders and suppliers.


About the role:

Your leadership qualities and personal appearance will be of a high standard. A self-motivated person possessing good time-management skills is a requirement. Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday: 08:00 to 16:00.

With a natural talent for engaging colleagues, customers, and suppliers, a friendly and genuine personality, you will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of people, be a team player, be a person of great initiative, and be able to think on your feet. Paying attention to detail is a critical success factor for this role.


The key selection criteria for the position are as follows:

* Relevant experience (minimum 5 years, or 3 to 4 years if holding a tertiary degree in this area).
* The ability to detect errors and/or issues through your 'attention to detail'skills.
* A real team player with excellent organisational and customer service skills.
* A good ability to think on your feet.
* A proactive approach with a focus on problem-solving.
* Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
* An ability to enhance the work-culture.
* Excellent communication competencies through verbal and written skills.
* A 'can do' approach & the ability to problem-solve with integrity, accountability, and transparency.
