About the role:
Cater Care is looking for a reliable Catering Assistant to join our team at an aged care facility in Ashwood, VIC. In this casual role, you'll assist with meal service while helping create a positive and welcoming dining experience for residents. If you enjoy supporting others and working in a friendly, team-oriented environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
Roster:
Various days & hours hrs/week)
What This Role Involves
* Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
* Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
* Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
* Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
* Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
Desired Skills And Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
* Previous contract catering experience (desirable)
* Work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to busy and changing environments
