Credit Controller/Analyst – SMARTECH Business Systems
SMARTECH Business Systems is seeking an experienced Credit Controller/Analyst to manage and oversee the company's credit function, drive timely collections, minimise bad debt, and support optimal cash flow across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Daily approval of credit applications (>$5k) for new and existing accounts
Manage and collect overdue invoices, including escalation and legal action where required
Accurate allocation and reconciliation of cash, EFT, and credit card payments
Daily collections for QLD, WA and dealer-specific accounts as requested
Maintain and update Accounts Receivable records and customer data
Handle customer queries, follow-ups and payment communications professionally
Raise credit notes, process proforma invoices, refunds, and month-end journals
Maintain accounts inbox, filing systems, and support internal departments
Investigate and resolve short/over payments, pending orders, and back-order reports
Prepare monthly statements and meet month-end deadlines
Provide support to the National Credit Manager, Leasing Officer, and Credit team
Drive process improvements and assist with ad-hoc projects
Requirements
5+ years experience in credit control or accounts receivable
Advanced Excel and strong systems competency
Excellent communication (written & verbal) with strong customer service skills
Ability to manage competing deadlines with accuracy and autonomy
Australian Degree Qualified (Preferable)
