Job Description
* Oversee and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and present detailed financial statements to key stakeholders.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise financial performance and cost efficiency.
* Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional development.
* Collaborate with other departments to support business planning and decision‐making processes.
* Manage cash flow and financial risk, ensuring the organisation's financial stability.
* Coordinate with external auditors and manage the year‐end audit process.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Controller should have:
* Proven expertise in accounting and finance, particularly within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
* A professional accounting qualification such as CPA or CA.
* Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations and standards.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
* Exceptional analytical and problem‐solving abilities.
* Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
