As our Truck Driver / Storeperson, you'll support the Fabrication Division by transporting materials to construction sites and assisting with materials handling and workshop tasks by always working safely, efficiently, and professionally.
About The Role
This is a hands‐on role supporting our Fabrication team through safe transport, stores and workshop support. You'll work closely with the Operations & Logistics Manager and other stakeholders to keep materials moving and work on track.
You Can Expect To
* Safely operate the company truck transporting materials/equipment between the workshop and construction sites
* Load and unload goods using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment
* Assist with receiving, handling and storing goods in the workshop
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and stock movements
* Keep work areas, storage zones and equipment clean, safe and ready for use
* Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and correctly
* Liaise professionally with site employees, subcontractors, suppliers, other project participants and clients
* Provide relevant information for inclusion in the Daily Site Diary and complete required records/documentation
* Support safety and compliance by reporting hazards, near misses, incidents and assisting to make areas safe
Essential
What you'll bring:
* Valid Australian HR or MR Truck Licence
* Forklift High Risk Work Licence
* Demonstrated experience in truck driving and storeperson/materials handling duties
* Strong understanding of safe loading, lifting and transport practices
* Ability to read and interpret delivery documentation and stock records
Desirable
* Dogman Licence
* White card, silica awareness, asbestos awareness and manual handling
