We're Hiring Environmental & Planning Consultant (5+ yrs)

Sustainable Project Management (SPM) is looking for an experienced Environment & Planning Consultant to lead and support environmental approvals across Victoria.
If you're passionate about creating solutions for our clients, delivering high‑quality outcomes and enjoy working across infrastructure, renewables, waste and resource recovery, industrial and coastal projects—we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
* Manage environmental and statutory planning projects from due diligence through to approval
* Prepare and coordinate EPA development licence applications, planning permit applications, environmental reports and management plans
* Ensure documentation conforms to Victorian planning schemes, EPA requirements and relevant legislation
* Coordinate specialist inputs (ecology, traffic, contamination, acoustics, marine)
* Provide high-quality environmental and land use planning advice to clients
* Liaise with EPA Victoria and referral authorities (DEECA, Local Councils)
* Build trusted relationships with clients + regulators
* Prepare and review impact assessments + technical reports
* Conduct site inspections and analyse technical data
* Stay up to date with Victorian environmental legislation
* Support business development + proposal writing
WE NEED YOUR ENVIRONMENT SKILLS
What You Bring
5+ years in environmental consulting or planning
Tertiary qualifications in planning, environmental science/engineering or similar
Strong knowledge of Victorian planning + environmental frameworks
Demonstrated experience managing approvals processes
Excellent communication + stakeholder engagement skills
High attention to detail + strong project management capability
