EL1 - Assistant Director Indigenous Engagement (Affirmative Measures - Indigenous):
Responsibilities
1. Implement the Library's Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property Protocol
2. Develop and deliver a First Nations public engagement program
3. Participate in the implementation of service improvement initiatives and change in the workplace
4. Working with the Indigenous Engagement Team and other colleagues to implement the Library's ICIP Protocol
5. Connecting Indigenous expertise and knowledge with the Library's public programs and outreach activities
6. Collaboratively developing and delivering a First Nations public engagement program
7. Collaboratively developing cultural awareness of staff of the National Library of Australia
8. Providing culturally appropriate advice
Qualifications / Eligibility
This is an Affirmative Measures Indigenous vacancy and only open to applicants who:
9. are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
10. identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; and
11. are accepted by their community as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
