Job Overview
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading our store in Wonthaggi, VIC. You will work closely with the Group Operations Manager to drive sales, manage store performance, and build a high-performing team culture that delivers outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve their full potential
* Translate business strategy into clear store-level goals and action plans
* Monitor performance and conduct regular reviews of financial and operational KPIs
* Manage wages, stock flow, store presentation, and operating costs
* Ensure the right mix of products is available to meet customer needs and drive sales
* Uphold safety, compliance, and store standards
* Create a team culture that values communication, collaboration, and accountability
We are looking for a driven and experienced Store Manager who has:
* Previous retail leadership or store management experience
* Logistics background with experience in scheduling inbound and outbound deliveries, understanding of stock management, cost control, and financial performance
* Strong customer focus – especially with building trades
* Proven experience working with suppliers
* Excellent communication and people leadership skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
* Commercial mindset and strong attention to detail
* Availability to work across a 7-day trading roster (which may include weekends and late nights)
* Experience in hardware, home improvement, or trade retail (preferred but not essential)
