We're looking for a Fund Finance Manager to join our Retail Finance team in Sydney. Reporting to the Fund Financial Controller – Retail, this is an excellent step‐up opportunity for someone currently working as a Fund Accountant or Senior Fund Accountant who is ready to take the next step into a management role.
You'll gain hands‐on exposure across financial reporting, tax, treasury and stakeholder engagement, with strong support, development and mentorship to set you up for success.
What you'll be doing
* Support and oversee monthly, quarterly, half‐year and year‐end financial reporting for a portfolio of retail wholesale funds
* Take ownership of the month‐end process including timetables, reconciliations and analytical reviews
* Prepare management accounts, board papers and contribute to statutory financial statements
* Interpret accounting standards and assist with preparing technical accounting papersEnsure compliance with fund constitutions, legislation, accounting standards and internal policies
* Calculate and review unit pricing, distributions and fee calculations
* Assist with GST/BAS reporting and income tax returns in collaboration with external advisers
* Support treasury covenant reporting and loan agreement compliance
* Prepare accounting for capital transactions under guidance
* Coordinate audits and build relationships with external auditors
* Contribute to fund setups and wind‐ups, including systems and tax requirements
* Partner closely with fund managers, asset management, treasury, tax and group finance teams
* Develop leadership capability through coaching and supporting junior team members
What you'll bring
* CA (or equivalent) qualification, or working toward
* Strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
* Experience as a Fund Accountant, Senior Fund Accountant or in a similar financial reporting role
* Interest in stepping into your first management position, with support provided
* Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with finance and non‐finance stakeholders
* A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
* High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Prior property or funds management exposure is advantageous but not essential
