Heritage Project Officers (multiple roles)
GKB Impact is a dynamic non-profit organisation dedicated to driving positive change in Bunbury and the surrounding region. We work across a range of community development initiatives, from heritage preservation to environmental conservation and business development programs. Our passionate team is committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of Gnaala Karla Booja members, and the broader Aboriginal community.
We're looking to fill multiple Heritage Project Officer roles at GKB Impact, a rapidly growing social enterprise based in Bunbury, WA. In this full-time position, you'll play a key part in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Gnaala Karla Booja region through the management of heritage surveys and cultural monitoring programs. What you\'ll be doing
* Prepare cost estimates for proponents/clients for individual projects.
* Prepare and manage Request for quotes (RFQ's) for the provision of project-based consultant services.
* Engagement, logistics and support of Traditional Owners required for each project.
* Maintain a high level of customer service to all proponents and stakeholders for each project.
* Financial management of each project.
What we\'re looking for
* Experience working with Traditional Owners to build effective and culturally sensitive relationships based on mutual respect. Noongar experience preferred.
* Highly developed experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
* Demonstrated experience in procurement, financial management, preparing quotations, and planning and managing projects.
* Experience in working effectively in a collaborative culturally diverse team.
* Prior experience in the heritage services industry is desirable.
* Tertiary qualifications in project management, community development, communications, community engagement or similar is desirable.
* Currently have membership, or the ability to gain membership, with the Gnaala Karla Booja Aboriginal Corporation, or another Noongar Regional Corporation is highly desirable.
