Wellbeing Activity Coordinator Role
This role is responsible for developing and implementing wellbeing activities and programs that promote the social, psychological, recreational, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing of our residents.
* Residents will be encouraged to participate in individual and group activities that cater to their preferences and needs.
* A resident assessment process will be conducted to gain a deeper understanding of each resident's preferences and needs.
* The successful candidate will plan and implement innovative events and wellbeing activities for residents, involving the wider community, volunteers, and residents' family and friends where possible.
* They will act as team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the wellbeing team.
* Work will be conducted in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues, and residents, closely following all policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* To develop and implement wellbeing activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents.
* Conduct resident assessments to identify their needs and preferences.
* Plan and coordinate wellbeing activities and events that cater to different age groups and interests.
* Provide coaching, supervision, and guidance to the wellbeing team.
* Maintain accurate records and reports on wellbeing activities and outcomes.
Requirements:
* A passion for delivering high-quality care to the elderly.
* Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or similar qualification.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with residents and their families.
* Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents.
* Great IT skills – essential for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
* NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain.
