ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Western Sydney Local Council seeking a driven and experienced Application Support Specialist. They're committed to delivering high quality, customer-focused technology services to the community. You will be part of the Customer and Business Performance Directorate, working within the Information Technology team that supports Council's critical corporate systems and ensures smooth, secure, and innovative technology operations.
ABOUT THE ROLE.
This is a 6-month contract. The position is for a Senior Applications Specialist and plays a pivotal role in the effective operation, support, and maintenance of Council's corporate applications. You will ensure applications run reliably, align with vendor requirements and industry best practice, and support business users across the organisation.
DUTIES.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, working closely with users and vendors
* Lead and implement system enhancements, upgrades and change control activities
* Manage incidents, service requests and post incident reviews in line with IT procedures
* Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting and optimising Council's corporate applications
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
* Strong background in automation and scripting, particularly PowerShell
* Experience with Pathway, Trim or TechOne (preferred)
* Proven capability in server and network infrastructure, data protection and backup solutions
* Excellent communication, problem solving abilities and adaptability
