Details: A permanent opportunity exists to join the Civil and Regulatory Law Branch as a Senior Director (SOGA) in the Access to Justice Team. Leading the Access to Justice team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policy, legislation and programs relating to legal assistance, courts and tribunal legal policy, as well as other civil justice initiatives. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the ACT Courts and Tribunal (ACTCT) to progress timely appointments to the ACTCT, as well as working closely key justice stakeholders, the ACT legal assistance sector and ACT Electoral Commission to progress legislative reform opportunities. In addition, the Senior Director will be required to deliver priorities under the National Access to Justice Partnership 2025-2030 and lead the management of ACT budget funded legal assistance programs and services.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

* Experience in policy is highly desirable.
* A law degree or other relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in appropriate field is highly desirable.

Note: This is a permanent position at the SOG-A level within the Access to Justice team. The successful applicants may be selected based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies, temporary and permanent, across LPP over the next 12 months.
