About the role
Wet Earth is a manufacturer of dust suppression systems for mining and industrial clients throughout Australia.
This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys a combination of desktop design, hands on application, and interacting with customers and suppliers. This is a broad role in a small organisation and you will be part of the management team. You will be involved with all aspects of projects from sales, design, project management to commissioning and training. The role will involve visits to client sites (including remote mining sites) for sales / design meetings and commissioning / training.
Requirements of the role
* Degree-qualified in mechanical / mechatronics engineering
* Desire to work in the Albury/Wodonga region
* Practical, adaptable, solutions-focused and self motivated
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* High attention to detail in design and written communication
* Skilled in the use of 3D modeling software such as Solidworks
* An interest electrical control systems
* Willingness to travel as required
* Comfortable working in industrial environments and mine sites
* An Australian citizen / PR or hold current Australian work rights / valid work visa
* Hold an Australian drivers licence
We are happy to consider applicants that fulfil the above, but any of the following would be considered an advantage
* Mechatronics engineering or experience with electrical control systems and PLCs
* Experience working with sprinklers / spays, valves, flow / pressure sensors and control systems
* Experience working on mine sites
