A leading organisation in the heavy industry sector is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic to join their field service team on a temp‑to‑perm basis. Your new role
As a Field Service Mobile Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and support of mobile plant equipment across multiple customer locations. Working with a high degree of independence, you will ensure equipment reliability, uphold professional standards and deliver exceptional service in the field.
1. Perform fault diagnosis, assembly, repair, testing and commissioning of mobile plant equipment.
2. Maintain all tooling, equipment and vehicles in excellent condition.
3. Provide technical input to assist with job estimates, quoting and resource planning.
4. Actively support Quality and Business Management System processes.
5. Provide excellent customer service and problem-solving
6. Take ownership of allocated customer sites and planned work schedules.
7. Manage customer expectations while minimising disruption to production.
8. Assist customers with preventative maintenance planning and critical spare parts lists.
9. Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve service outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Qualified Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic or similar trade background.
11. Strong technical, diagnostic and field service experience.
12. Exceptional communication and customer‑service capability.
13. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
14. A proactive, safety‑driven and professional work ethic.
