To undertake the ongoing development of the services strategies across Adelaide and Parafield Airport, including power, communications, potable water, recycled water, fire water, sewer and gas.
To provide services infrastructure advice to inform future commercial developments (site specific) and aviation developments, including the coordination and/or development of concepts.
Key Accountabilities
* Support the Infrastructure Development Manager in the development of services strategies for potable water, fire water, recycled water, sewer, gas, power and communications infrastructure across Adelaide and Parafield Airports. This includes but is not limited to:
* Interpreting and applying engineering models to planning and capital development projects
* Monitoring of actual demands against forecast demand to identify future triggers for upgrades with appropriate time.
* Updates to actual/forecast demand models with new developments to ensure base data is always reflective of current.
* Updates to staging and implementation plans to reflect current data and any external influences.
* Investigate and implement new technologies and methodologies to save time, cost and provide better sustainable or environmental outcomes
* Provision of services infrastructure advice to inform requirements for future precincts, commercial developments and aviation developments, effectively communicating requirements and expectations to potential tenants, developers and other third parties and providing the necessary support to enable the vision of all parties to be realised. This may also include:
* Provision of inputs to inform business cases and lease agreements
* Provision of inputs to inform aeronautical deals
* Consultation with service providers and equipment suppliers
* Determining estimates, budgets and scope of works
* Undertake concept-level designs where applicable
* Engineering calculations, analysis and investigations
* Development of high-level services concepts, establishing assessment criteria and evaluating these concepts against the criteria
* Provision of services infrastructure advice for projects and enquiries from across the business.
* Management of specified services projects to achieve quality, program and budget outcomes, as required, including management of external multidisciplinary consultants and meaningful engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Understand, implement and contribute to our Sustainability and Environmental guidelines and targets including water and energy efficiency measures, on-site renewable generation, control system tuning, reducing potable water usage, use of recycled water for non-potable purposes, implementing stormwater reuse and reduction of gas consumption.
* Review of Development Applications and Building Applications against the Airport Master Plans, relevant infrastructure master plans and design guidelines, focused on infrastructure & impact to AAL.
* Contribute to the development of Major Development Plans
* Contribute to the development and approval of the Airport Master Plans for Adelaide and Parafield Airports.
* Contribute to the development of the capital plans and aeronautical agreements for Adelaide and Parafield Airports.
* Form collaborative working relationships with relevant authorities (such as SA Water).
* Development and maintenance of relevant internal Design Guidelines for use by internal and external partners.
* Other duties as reasonably directed.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience
Qualifications
Essential
* Engineering Degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
* Drivers Licence
Desirable
* Chartered Engineering Status
* Project Management Training / Accreditation
Experience
Essential
* A minimum of 5 postgraduate years of experience in services engineering or utilities field.
* Experience developing services concepts and designs for mechanical, water, gas, power and/or communications systems.
* Experience working in project teams and collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to achieve outcomes for a project.
* Collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Writing technical policies, procedures, manuals and reports.
* Interpretation and application of regulations and standards
* Project management experience.
Desirable
* Supervision of consultants and/or contractors
* Developing commercial acumen.
* Proficiency with GIS applications, mapping, drafting and/or digital engineering
* Experience with Building Management Systems and Mechanical HVAC systems would be beneficial but not required.
