Joining the Warrigal team as an ACE (Assistant Care Employee) and you will be helping our more experienced Carers in our Residential homes across the Illawarra. You will start by understanding our residents' needs, learn a variety of tasks such as assisting with meals, stocking supplies and engaging in social activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for students to begin their pathway into a Nursing or Allied Health profession.
About You:
* You will have a positive nature and a positive attitude towards older people
* You will enjoy working in a team and have clear communication skills
* Enthusiastic and eager to learn
* You will be keen to develop task management and problem-solving skills
To be successful you will need to:
* Be 16 years and over
* Be in your Senior years at school
* Be available to work a minimum 8 hours per week (2 x 4 hour shifts)
* Willing to complete a national Criminal History Check
Must be available to commit to the following dates to be considered for this role;
* Interviews: Wednesday 4 February 2026
* Information Evening: Wednesday 18 March 2026
* Full day Training program: 8, 9 & 10 April 2026
* Buddy Shifts starting week: 13 April 2026
