Job Title: Electrical System Specialist
KBR is seeking a skilled Electrical System Specialist to join their team. This role involves working with high-voltage systems, safety protocols, and maintenance practices.
In this position, you will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs on standard equipment, constructing and installing system components, equipment, and fixtures, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in installations, making modifications to devices using standard test equipment, adhering to safety procedures when working with electricity, measuring and controlling electrical parameters, and preparing technical documentation.
* Performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs on standard equipment.
* Constructing and installing system components, equipment, and fixtures.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in installations.
* Making modifications to devices using standard test equipment.
* Adhering to safety procedures when working with electricity.
* Measuring and controlling electrical parameters.
* Preparing technical documentation.
Requirements:
* You must be a US or Australian citizen.
* You must have a US TS/SCI clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance.
* You must have a minimum of five years of experience working with medium and high voltages.
* You must possess a Union/Utility MV and HV certifications, or the Australian equivalent.
* You must be knowledgeable of operating/maintaining switch gears, transformers, isolation breakers.
This role will be located in Alice Springs at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
