Their packaging, timber products, sewing divisions and laundry services operate from sites across Seven Hills, Erskine Park, Newcastle and Lithgow, employing a workforce of over 500 people.

Impact you will have in this role Access Industries is seeking a strategic and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to lead the organisation’s financial function through a critical period of transformation and growth.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board, this role will shape the financial strategy that underpins the organisation’s next phase, supporting the delivery of a new strategic plan, while leading significant organisational change, strengthening financial sustainability, modernising systems and processes, and enabling data-driven decision making across the organisation.

Lead the financial strategy and stewardship of a complex, purpose-driven organisation during a significant period of transformation

Drive modernisation of finance systems and processes, including ERP implementation and capability uplift

Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to lead organisational change and deliver sustainable growth

Full time, permanent role based in Seven Hills, Sydney, NSW

As CFO, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning and analysis, reporting, risk and governance, investment oversight, and pricing strategy. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating financial insights into clear, actionable direction that supports both commercial outcomes and social purpose, while guiding the organisation through change.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of the organisation’s long term financial strategy aligned to the strategic plan

Provide high quality financial insights and advice to the CEO and Board during a period of transformation

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial performance across the organisation

Establish and strengthen pricing and margin management capability to support commercial growth

Lead the modernisation of the finance function, including the implementation of ERP systems and digital processes

Ensure robust financial governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks are in place and effective

Manage investment portfolios and support major capital, infrastructure and property initiatives

Partner with operational leaders to drive performance, efficiency, and resource optimisation

Lead and develop a high performing finance team, building capability and leading through change

Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including auditors, advisors, customers and funding bodies

About You You are a commercially driven and values-led financial leader who thrives in complex, evolving environments, brings a strategic and action-oriented approach, and leads with integrity, clarity, and accountability.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

Proven ability to develop and deliver financial strategies that support growth, transformation, and sustainability

Strong ability to balance financial performance with social impact outcomes, making sound and considered decisions

Experience in modernising finance functions and leading ERP or system implementations through significant change

Deep understanding of financial controls, compliance, and regulatory frameworks

Ability to influence and support senior leaders through clear, insightful financial advice

Confidence engaging with Boards, executives, and external partners

Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights and action

A team-oriented leader who builds trust, accountability, and shared ownership across the organisation

You will hold a CPA or CA qualification and bring significant senior financial leadership experience. Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or complex service environments is highly regarded.
