Safety Officer
We are seeking a seasoned safety professional to lead our Safety Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project in Sydney.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures for the construction site
* Design and deliver engaging safety training sessions for employees and contractors
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and take corrective action
* Investigate and report accidents or incidents to management and regulatory agencies, implementing measures to prevent recurrence
* Maintain accurate and detailed safety records and reports required by regulatory agencies
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with state safety regulations and industry best practices, supporting operations in the tunnel and working closely with the Safety Manager.
About You:
* Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health, or related field
* Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is highly desirable
* In-depth knowledge of state safety regulations and compliance requirements
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively train and engage employees
* Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
