Senior Expert – Business & Investment Climate Reform
NTU International is preparing a proposal for the GIZ Global Gateway Investment Climate Reform (ICR) Facility, which supports partner countries in improving business environments and unlocking sustainable private investment.The Facility delivers demand-driven technical assistance to governments and stakeholders to design and implement investment climate reforms and promote inclusive economic growth.We are creating a pool of Business & Investment Climate Reform Experts for this project. Experts in this pool will be contacted for specific assignments as they arise. If you have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose business environment and investment climate constraintsDesign and support implementation of reform strategiesProvide economic policy advice to governments and public institutionsDevelop reports, policy papers, and analytical outputsFacilitate stakeholder consultations and public-private dialogueDeliver workshops, trainings, and capacity-building activitiesSupport monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of interventionsEnsure integration of gender equality, climate, and conflict sensitivity
Requirements:
EducationMaster’s degree in economics, business administration, law, or political/social sciences
General Professional ExperienceMinimum 9 years of experience providing economic policy advice to governments
Specific Professional ExperienceMinimum 7 years of experience in business and investment climate reforms, including:Diagnosing reform needs;Developing reform strategies;Supporting implementation of reforms.Minimum 5 years of experience in development cooperation projects
LanguagesEnglish (C1 mandatory)Knowledge of French or Spanish (C1)
