Learning and Teaching Specialist Role
This is a key role within the education sector that involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning. As a Learning and Teaching Specialist, you will work closely with school leadership to develop a shared view of highly effective teacher practice.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practices.
* Model exemplary classroom practices through teaching demonstration lessons.
* Develop whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
* Provide professional learning opportunities for teachers.
* Support teachers in seeking, analyzing, and acting on feedback.
Requirements
* Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* Qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the specified curriculum area(s).
Benefits
* A commencement incentive payment of £25,000 (before-tax) for schools located in remote areas.
* $10,000 (before-tax) annual retention payments for up to three years of employment.
Conditions of Employment
* A probationary period may apply during the first year of employment.
