Short Term contract available for ICT Customer Support Officer based in Newcastle

Hays is working with a government organisation based in Newcastle who have a short term contract available for an ICT Customer Support Officer.
**Your new role**
As an ICT Customer Support Officer you will be responsible for providing face-to-face end user support to the organisations employees. This includes providing advice and guidance to resolve moderate level issues. Other responsibilities and duties include:
- Promote and guide clients on how to follow processes and provide technical support for IT issues
- Assist with technology issues and set-up in meeting rooms
- Identify and be alert to major incidents that may occur. Ensure these are raised through the standard channels for analysis and resolution.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in a customer service role, either providing technology support or with a solid interest in technology
- Strong relationship skills and experience in collaborating across teams
- Ability to facilitate resolution of issues
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
**What you'll get in return**
This is a 14-week contract paying a competitive day rate.
