Role Overview
As a member of the Catering team at St Catherine's Aged Care in Bathurst, you will prepare high quality food and provide a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, delivering a quality dining service, and assisting residents as required
- Supporting peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
- Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues and residents, following all policies and procedures
Requirements
- A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
- Valuable understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
- Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
- Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
- NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain
