Job Summary:
Agricultural Development Specialist
Nufarm is a global crop protection and seeds technologies company that helps farmers meet the challenges of food, feed, fibre, and fuel production.
* The successful applicant will be seen as a technical thought leader, working closely with sales, marketing, and R&D to develop and execute product strategies.
* This role requires cultivating external stakeholder relationships, including growers, channel partners, agronomists/consultants, grower groups, and industry stakeholders to create demand for Nufarm's products.
This position involves regular travel, managing a segment with flexibility to work from home within the region. A tool of trade vehicle will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all field promotional activities, including site selection, in-crop management, and assessments, as well as various data collations.
* Collaborate with 3rd party organisations to gain expertise on genetic/nutritional crop management backed by science.
* Lead and coordinate Pre-launch through to Launch Activities & drive relationship building.
* Communicate, engage, liaise, and drive interest with key leaders in the grower community.
* Complete the reporting of trial results and communicate to relevant stakeholders within Nufarm.
* Focus on the development of seed and trait agronomic knowledge and experience within the Nufarm team, Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and R&D teams.
* Attend and present at grower days and fields days. Support ASMs in field as required.
* Provide input to technical training to Nufarm staff, distribution key influencers, consultants, and growers as required in conjunction with Sales and Development to ensure sufficient knowledge exists of Nufarm seed varieties.
* Assist marketing in generating content specific to local regional requirements.
* Build knowledge on the rotational benefit of canola and drive the expansion into more marginal cropping areas. Partner with cropping groups and local influencers to drive adoption of canola.
* Provide input into regional and territory strategic and tactical planning through the Advancement Committee and Australian Crop Team.
