Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Survey Crew Chief to lead our survey crew in delivering exceptional results. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring timely completion of projects, and maintaining the highest level of accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities:
* Commute to and from sites daily in company-provided vehicles.
* Perform various survey activities, including leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile and cross-section surveys.
* Set up, adjust, and operate Trimble survey equipment, including total station, data collector, and GPS equipment.
* Measure distances, angles, and elevations for staking purposes.
* Review and adjust survey field calculations as needed.
* Locate or establish vertical and horizontal control.
* Utilize Trimble equipment to measure all utility points, including curb and gutter, water & sewer, storm drain, and paving.
* Prepare accurate field notes and complete as-built drawings.
* Maintain work-issued vehicles, laptops, and survey equipment.
* Adhere to Atwell's safety protocols.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering plans.
* Assist with new hire training, career planning, and continuous professional development at Atwell.

Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
* A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Survey Crew Chief role.
* Effective communication skills to interact with contractors, inspectors, and team leaders.
* Prior experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
* Experience with Trimble equipment.
