**About the role**
The Intensive Care Consultant contributes to the provision of professional medical services in accordance with Hospital and Department Policy manuals and with the Policy Documents of the College of Intensive Care Medicine. The incumbent will be expected to provide a full clinical service to Intensive Care, based mainly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. However, they may also be part of the multidisciplinary team in the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The Intensive Care Consultant will pursue clinical and basic research within the unit and will take part in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching activities.
**Qualifications**
- Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care (formerly the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine) or an equivalent specialist qualification that is registrable with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Specialist in Intensive Care.
