The HSEQ department is a team that provides quality, safety and environmental advice and support to the business. The team is responsible for the development, maintenance and assurance of the TDWA management systems in accordance with our legal obligations and QSEA accreditation requirements.
About The Role-
We are looking for a Safety-First professional passionate about workplace excellence. We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to champion Health, Safety, Environment & Quality across our Transport Network.
As Our HSEQ Advisor, YOU Will
Assist functional areas in fulfilling their quality, safety, environmental and risk mitigation responsibilities in order to meet Transdev WA’s (TDWA) service delivery focus. You will provide expertise across the business operations to ensure that Safety, Quality & Insurance standards, legislation and contractual obligations are adhered to and TDWA is compliant at all times. As our HSEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day HSEQ performance of the business and drive improvement in the safety culture.
Experience And Qualifications-
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work, Health & Safety
* Tertiary Qualification in Occupational, Health, Safety & Environment or related field.
* A strong ISO Certification and Internal Auditing experience - ISO45001 - ISO14001 & ISO9001
* Excellent Incident and Accident investigation skills - Internal Auditor Certification (desirable)
* ICAM Investigation Training (desirable)
* Current First Aid & Mental Health First Aid Certifications
* Drug & Alcohol Testing Certification (preferable)
* Experience in the Transport & Bus industry (preferable).
Skills And Attributes-
* High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills commensurate with a dynamic business in a political and industrial sensitive environment.
* In depth knowledge of the relevant legislation and applicable standards.
* Demonstrated experience in a business environment that requires the use of analytical and problem-solving techniques.
* High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in advising senior managers and others on sensitive issues.
* Understanding and ability to develop and implement a reliability engineering methodology into the maintenance business.
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
