**The Position**
- Position Title: Clinical Manager - ECAT Triage
- Classification: NP51, HR25 - HR28, HR9 - HR12
- Salary per hour (exc. super): $59.83 - $65.93 dependent on classification
- Hours per fortnight: 80 (including ADO)
- Employment Status: Full-time ongoing
- Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination
**Role Description**
- The Clinical Manager is a senior clinician located within the Bendigo Health Emergency Department, and is accountable for the effective clinical leadership for the Triage & ECAT programs. The Clinical Manager demonstrates superior consolidated clinical skills at a proficient level and the focus practice areas of psychiatric triage, intake, assessment and treatment, and psycho-education The successful applicant will hold qualifications in Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy, with post graduate and extensive psychiatric experience.

**The Team**
- The team is part of Bendigo Health's Mental Health Department. The Enhanced Crisis Assessment and Treatment (ECAT) service is based in the Emergency Department (ED) of the Bendigo Hospital and performs a prompt Psychiatric Assessment and coordination of treatment for persons presenting to ED with mental health concerns. Bendigo Health's Regional Psychiatric Triage Service provides 24 hour, 7 day a week access to mental health services across the Loddon-Campaspe, Southern Mallee Region. Triage also serves as the single point of entry for Bendigo Health Mental Health Services.

**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : Bachelor of Nursing, Social Work, or Bachelor of Applied Science with post graduate qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Essential : Minimum of 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience in Mental Health with experience across a range of settings including psychiatric triage, assessment support and treatment of people with a mental illness and associated complex issues
- Essential : Demonstrated commitment and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support, with a focus on working collaboratively with patients and carers to support progress towards reaching personal recovery goals
- Essential : Demonstrated expert level clinical expertise to initiate and lead evidence-based practice in the assessment, care planning and care delivery to patients with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours
- Essential : Demonstrated ability to provide expert clinical consultancy, networking and dissemination of key messages across a range of key internal and external stakeholders
- Essential : Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead evidence-based clinical practice development and a commitment to the concept of continuous quality improvement on inpatient settings
- Essential : Excellent knowledge of Mental Health Act Vic 2014 and its associated principles
