Global Skilled Employment Services - Lang Lang, VICAgriculture, Nature & AnimalSource: uWorkinJob DescriptionSenior Dairy Cattle StockpersonLocation: Lang Lang, VIC 3984Tenure: Full-time, permanentSalary: From $65,835 per year (plus superannuation)Required Skills and Experience AQF Certificate III in Agriculture / Dairy Production (or higher equivalent) Three (3) years of recent and relevant work experienceOn behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment is seeking skilled candidates for the position of Senior Dairy Cattle Stockperson to join the production team at a dairy in Lang Lang, VIC 3984.ResponsibilitiesPlan all aspects of milk production, including managing and coordinating milking routines.Coordinate reproductive programs, including artificial insemination, herd fertility management, estrous detection, and pregnancy checks.Assist in breeding experiments to develop improved livestock strains.Implement calving procedures, including internal assessments to reduce stillbirths or injuries.Manage pastures and crops, and develop livestock feeding plans.Analyze produce to maintain quality standards.Supervise animal health programs, handle sick or injured animals, and ensure animal welfare according to Australian standards.Supervise work routines and staff performance, including assisting less experienced employees.Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.Operate milking equipment safely, record instrument data, and match cow IDs to calves for quality milk production.Operate dairy recycling systems and perform calf feeding, including tubing colostrum.Assist with irrigation works and inspect livestock to evaluate feed effectiveness.Handle and store chemicals safely, and operate farm vehicles and equipment.Perform maintenance on sheds, fixtures, fences, and machinery as qualified.Transport stock, feed, and equipment with appropriate licensing.Maintain accurate records for stock and inventory control.Ensure food safety and comply with regulatory requirements.Contribute to occupational health and safety procedures.Operate computer systems and software related to farm management.Respond to emergencies related to OHS and animal welfare.Participate in industry training sessions and workshops as required.Qualified applicants may apply online.
