As a Site Reliability Engineer in our Managed Services team, you will help build and maintain resilient, scalable, and high-performing systems for our clients on Google Cloud. You'll be embedded with experienced engineers and consultants, applying SRE principles to enhance reliability and automate operations, directly contributing to the success of our clients.
Your day-to-day
- Automate and Enhance: Write scripts and leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Monitor and Respond: Help implement and refine monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Grafana, or Google Cloud's Operations Suite to ensure system health and proactive issue detection.
- Improve Pipelines: Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to improve the speed and reliability of application deployments for our clients.
- Troubleshoot: Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve incidents across diverse client environments, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Shared On-Call Support: Share in on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents, ensuring the stability and reliability of our clients' systems.
- Retain the focus on learning: Be a sponge for information, continually learning the consulting acumen and technical skills (like containerisation with GKE, advanced networking, and security best practices) required to deliver exceptional results.
What you’ll need to be successful
-An excellent ability to express yourself both verbally and in written form
- Demonstrable passion for technology, Google and Google Cloud
- A keen interest in pursuing Google Cloud certifications to validate and grow your skills.
- Bring a positive can-do attitude to the team
- A strong desire to learn and progress your technology career.
- Capable of taking well-defined sub-tasks and completing these tasks in a collaborative way
