Remuneration: $112,396 - $116,038 per annum + Annual leave loading + Superannuation
This is a permanent full-time senior position within the Social Work Department, in the Women's and Children's Health Team. The team covers maternity, the birthing unit, neonatal intensive care, paediatrics, fertility, fetal medicine and the antenatal clinic. You will contribute to a large, skilled department, working with culturally and socially diverse patients and families. The role includes providing support to other areas within the hospital as required and may involve working with vulnerable people and individuals experiencing trauma, including supporting parents during perinatal and pregnancy loss. Participation in after-hours on-call crisis service (including weekends) is required.

Responsibilities
Provide advanced clinical social work services with responsibility at a Level 3 scope, including independent problem solving and contribution within a multidisciplinary team.
Support women, children and families across maternity, neonatal, paediatrics, fertility, fetal medicine and antenatal services; assist with complex social and ethical issues and boundaries.
Deliver services across hospital-wide areas as required and participate in after-hours on-call crisis service (weekends).
Engage in professional practice that upholds ethical standards, supports vulnerable populations and responds to trauma-related needs.
Qualifications
Must hold a Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Advanced clinical knowledge, skills and significant clinical experience in social work, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve and apply professional and ethical boundaries in complex situations within a multidisciplinary team.
