Job Description
The Strategic Supplier Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, accountability, and mutual value through strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
* Supplier Relationship Management:
* Key Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to drive innovation and accountability.
* Risk & Compliance Oversight: The incumbent will identify supplier risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure compliance with company policies, ESG requirements, and regulatory standards.
* Contract Management & Commercial Support: This role assists in negotiating and managing long-term agreements and contract amendments, monitoring monthly spend and cost trends in alignment with contract terms and expectations.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: The successful candidate will partner with internal stakeholders to align supplier activities with business strategy and operational needs.
* Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Promoting supplier-led innovation and identifying opportunities for process optimisation, efficiency, and the application of digital tools is a key aspect of this role.
Requirements:
* High-performance mindset and passion for driving business value are essential.
* Proven experience in strategic supplier or category management is mandatory.
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supplier management within a large, complex organisation.
* Strong understanding of IT procurement or technology supply chain is required.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills are necessary.
* Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
* Proven experience in reviewing contracts and understanding legal and compliance obligations.
* Ability to drive strategic outcomes and build alignment across senior leadership.
* High attention to detail and proactive approach towards risk management and continuous improvement.
* Comfortable working with digital tools, data platforms, and emerging procurement technologies.
